Don Pedro

Hacienda Don Pedro is a Veteran-Owned and family-operated farm named in the memory of Don Pedro Serrano. A Puerto Rican-born farmer, he worked his way up to an international executive role at one of the world’s largest tobacco companies. Always true to his roots, Pedro taught his family how to work the land; connecting to the earth, its soil, and sustaining life. Today, his legacy lives on at Hacienda Don Pedro, a small working farm with a bold vision for partnership with our community, land, and the livestock we tend to. After a decade of battling Alzheimer’s, Don Pedro passed away in the summer of 2020. In his final years, Don Pedro could be found walking his property, collecting seeds.
